My favorite new year tradition is selecting a #OneWord, a guide and banner for the next twelve months.
My past words include:
Last year, alabaster showed me beauty and purpose, depth and light, hope and devotion, sacrifice and love.
For 2026, I’ve chosen “wholeness”.

It’s not something I just want to strive for or try to achieve. I believe it’s an invitation to draw near, to be intentional, to belong, to be wholehearted.
My aim this year is to embrace wholeness and identity in Christ. To rediscover my true, essential self. To reclaim what was taken. To restore what was broken.
Many parts make up the whole, and I’m done the neglecting parts that require attention, compassion, and care. I want to make room and time for all the pieces that fit, that are me.
“May God Himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together–spirit, soul, and body–and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable. If He said it, He’ll do it!”
– 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (MSG)
My heart aches for this wholeness. I’m grateful for this word, this reminder, to bring all my fragmented parts to His feet. I believe it will be a year of freedom and authenticity.
I’d love to know what your word/theme is for 2026 – post it in the comments!
