A Few of My Favorite Things: November

It’s almost Christmas!!!

I know, I have to rein it in a bit. Thanksgiving is first. But we like to get in to the Christmas spirit a little early in our home.

At the time of writing I think we’re about 37 days away. But guess what starts in 10 days!? Advent!!

Books:

  • Shadow & Light by Tsh Oxenreider – this was such a helpful guide last year for our first real encounter with Advent. The corresponding art and music are amazing! (Can’t wait to use our new Advent candle holder from TheKnottyDane!)

Causes/Organizations to Support this Season:

Bible Verses:

  • “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6
  • “It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night…” – Psalm 92:1-2
  • “When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.” – Psalm 94:18-19

Hobbies:

  • Still the Cricut! I love getting to make gifts for people! (Shameless plug: If you want me to make any custom gifts this Christmas season, message me! Earrings, coasters, tea towels, journals, signs… the possibilities are endless! Just pay for supplies!)

Self-care:

  • Haircut! It’s always nice after you move to find a reliable and trustworthy hairstylist!!
  • Palate Polish: Earl Grey!
  • Decorating for Christmas! We needed a little sparkle and cheer in our home. And we had fun sorting all of our ornaments and remembering where each one came from!
