June has been a busy one! From the end of school and baseball season, to multiple birthdays and various appointments… AND we are leaving in 5 days for our second cross-country move! In case you missed it, we’re moving from Pennsylvania to California!! We are so excited for this next season but I’m not going to lie… it is a lot of work! (And it’s also bittersweet, saying goodbye to so many incredible people). I’m taking a quick break from packing and cleaning to bring you a few of my favorites from the past month!
Daily Rhythms:
- Purging, Packing, Preparing! My life is currently overflowing with boxes and bubble wrap. Everything else is on pause while we countdown the days to our big move.
Books:
- Wait Bible Study from The Daily Grace Co. (I am thankful for my Bible study group, Our Race to Run, for keeping me accountable and disciplined during our study of Psalms 31-60!)
- The Divine Adventure by Rebecca Friedlander (A brand-new book on spiritual practices! Rebecca’s writing is both poetic and relatable, filled with Scripture and real-life examples. Her unique storytelling captures your attention and draws you into each adventure.)
Bible Verses:
- “O my Strength, I will watch for You, for You, O God, are my fortress. My God in His steadfast love will meet me; God will let me look in triumph on my enemies.” – Psalm 59:9-10 ESV
- “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.” Philippians 4:6-7 MSG
Music: (I literally have these songs on repeat. Every time I listen to them, it feels like there’s something new or fresh. They’re all from the album “Old Church Basement” by Elevation Worship & Maverick City…)
Hobbies:
- Road Trip Tips from Kelle Hampton – my sister sent me Kelle’s Instagram stories, and it has definitely helped me plan some activities for my kids during our upcoming cross-country move!
- Summer Reading Program (check your local library) – this is a fun way for me and my kids to stay accountable to reading! And the app makes it super quick and easy to log our minutes.
- Let’s Make Art – my friend Carrie has grown our creativity through the world of watercolors! Sarah has some amazing tutorials!

Decór:
- We Can Do Hard Things B&W print – a gift from my sister, but something I keep saying to myself and my kids!

Local Eats:
- GF Chicken Tenders, Fries and Root Beer – Bullfrog Brewery in Williamsport (dedicated fryer!)

- Dead Letters wafflewich – StacyKay’s Cafe in Wellsboro (100% gluten-free!)

- GF Prosciutto-bella wood-fired pizza – The Stonehouse in Williamsport (love the truffle oil!)

In my Diffuser:
- Purification from Young Living
What’s for Dinner:
- Beef Tamale Bake from The Pampered Chef – I packed up my cookbook but found a recipe online! It was easy to make it gluten-free, and my family all loved it!
