As you look through a few of my favorite things this month, I hope you’re encouraged and inspired! Take time to take care of yourself, your whole self. And take time to connect with others!
In this season I’m striving to be more intentional in my daily rhythms… from Bible study and prayer to exercise and drinking water. I’m working on my patterns and habits in the midst of the busyness of life. I invite you to start somewhere; it’s easy to get overwhelmed, but take things one step, and one goal, at a time.
Daily Rhythms:
- Exercise (I am getting stronger with this Barre workout from Coach Kel!)
- Drinking more water!! (A reminder about my favorite water bottle! I have the Rose Gold one from Built. I will admit, the lid recently cracked, but they have a great lifetime warranty… I sent the lid in hoping for a repair, and they sent me a brand-new water bottle at no cost!)
Books:
- What Happened to You? Conversations on Trauma, Resilience, and Healing by Dr. Bruce Perry and Oprah Winfrey
- The Divine Adventure by Rebecca Friedlander!! (I’m excited to be a part of her book launch team!! It releases next month!)
Bible Verses:
- “May the Master of Peace himself give you the gift of getting along with each other at all times, in all ways. May the Master be truly among you!” – 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (MSG)
- “You did it: you changed wild lament into whirling dance; You ripped off my black mourning band and decked me with wildflowers. I’m about to burst with song; I can’t keep quiet about you. GOD, my God, I can’t thank you enough.” – Psalm 30:11-12 (MSG)
Music:
- Before and After by Elevation Worship & Maverick City
- joyful by Dante Bowe
- Seasons by NEEDTOBREATHE (covered by Jon Wright)
- Blue Album by Weezer (a much-loved throwback from my teen years)
Podcast:
New Things:
- Cricut EasyPress Mini
- Do Good tank top from Target
Snacks:
- Pipcorns Crunchies Parmesan & Truffle (even better when you find them for 79 cents at your local Surplus Outlet!)
- Coconut Waterloo (summer in a can!)

Diffuser:
- Stress Away from Young Living
Dinner:
- Quick Curried Chicken from the Pampered Chef Cookbook, It’s Good for You (I eat mine over quinoa instead of rice)

Local Coffee:
- Alabaster Coffee (this month they have a special drink, the Horchata Cold Brew, that benefits Dwell Orphan Care!!)
- Backhouse Café (one of my favorite places to meet up for coffee!)
“You did it: you changed wild lament into whirling dance; You ripped off my black mourning band and decked me with wildflowers. I’m about to burst with song; I can’t keep quiet about you. GOD, my God, I can’t thank you enough.” – Psalm 30:11-12 (MSG)
