Have you ever paused long enough to hear the song God is singing over you?
A few days ago, as I started making lunch for my kids, I looked up and saw this verse. I had taped it to my fridge last month.
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” – Jesus (John 14:18)
As I made sandwiches and cut veggies, the song below flowed freely. Such ordinary, routine moments were transformed into beauty by His presence as I sang the words back to Him.
What emerged reminds me of Zephaniah 3:17, and even Song of Songs. His part in bold; my response in italics. It’s been my anthem this week. It’s carried me through moments of stress, sickness, weakness, and overwhelm.
I pray the words encourage you, that you grab hold of the Truth in them, that you are built up and strengthened. You are never alone.
•
I will not leave you
I will come to you
I will come rescue you
You’re never alone
•
I won’t forsake you
I’ll come and find you
I’m bringing you back to Me
You’re never alone
•
I am never alone
You are forever my home
I will praise You my Lord
For I am never alone
•
You’re not an orphan
You’re My beloved
Chosen, redeemed, set free
You’re never alone
•
I go before you
I’m walking beside you
I’m standing behind you, too
You’re never alone
•
I am never alone
You are forever my home
I will praise You my Lord
For I am never alone
•
You leave, and I can’t wait for your return
You speak, and my heart begins to burn
You come, and I’m already there with you
You lead, help me stay close and never stray
You bleed, just know his time on earth is short
You see, and I trust victory is Yours
You Me, nothing can ever separate
You me, nothing can ever come between
You are never alone
I am never alone
•
I’m coming back soon
I’m coming to get you
My Spirit is with you now
You’re never alone

I pray you are able to tune in to Heaven and hear the song of love that your Father is singing over you – even while you “work”. He rejoices over you with singing; He is greatly delighted in you.
“The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” – Zephaniah 3:17
